01MEET INTERAKPICK

A familiar pick.
A new vocabulary.

A wireless guitar-pick interface in development. Connect subtle changes in grip and hand movement to your digital music workflow.

interakpickSENSOR CONCEPT / NOT A STRUCTURAL DRAWING
01

Movement becomes an input.

Six-axis sensing captures acceleration and angular velocity, opening up new ways to explore hand movement as a control input.

02

A little pressure. More possibility.

Sense changes in grip pressure. Shape input ranges and mappings in the companion app.

03

Connect to your creative tools.

Connect to a Mac over Bluetooth. Map movement or pressure to MIDI parameters in compatible software and devices.

02EXPLORE THE INTERACTION

A little pressure.
A different possibility.

Move the sliders to explore how pressure and movement can become control values. Start with a gesture. See where it takes you.

03FROM MOVEMENT TO CONTROL

New expression.
Familiar creative tools.

Explore new interactions with the tools you know. Inputs travel from the pick through the Mac app to a compatible MIDI destination.

See your movement.
Make the controls your own.

View sensor data and pose, record manually, and adjust input ranges, reversal and smoothing in the Mac app. Your destination must support the relevant MIDI input and parameter mapping.

04ABOUT BTN

Expression starts
in the smallest gestures.

A firmer grip. A turn of the hand. A movement of the pick. We want to explore how these natural gestures can become part of making music.

interakpick is a product and trademark of BTN, using the pick as a starting point for musical interaction. A wireless sensor prototype and companion Mac software have been developed. Playing experience, battery life and product reliability remain to be further evaluated.

05PRODUCT & SUPPORT

A few things
to know.

The current development stage, how it works and what you need.

Can I buy interakpick now?

interakpick is still in development. This page introduces the product direction and interaction concept. Purchases and pre-orders are not available. Final appearance, specifications and release plans are to be confirmed.

Does the pick make sound directly?

interakpick provides motion and pressure inputs, which the companion Mac app maps to MIDI. Sound is produced by your instrument, music software or compatible equipment. This website demo does not generate audio.

What can it connect to?

The companion software currently targets Mac, with separate development builds for Apple Silicon and Intel. MIDI destinations need the relevant input interface and parameter mapping. Compatibility with every application or effects unit is not implied.

What do the pressure and motion values mean?

Pressure is currently an uncalibrated sensor reading for relative control, not a value in newtons or kilopascals. Pose is estimated from six-axis sensing and does not represent an absolute heading measurement.

Where are the downloads and release updates?

Public downloads and subscriptions are not yet available on this website. Official downloads, support channels and release details will be added when confirmed. Development builds are not provided as public releases.
